After seeing all the dangerous rollovers yesterday it is decided to lower the risk by making the harder parts of the tracks lower in the slopes.
Final two rounds of the Formula Off Road World Cup events in 2006 are held in Skien in Norway. Skien is a beautiful small town around 200 km south-west of Oslo. Today is the fifth World Cup event and also serves as part of the Norwegian competition as well as the Nordic countries competition.

Nitto Tires in King of the Hammers The Ultimate Desert Race Since I am going to the King of the Hammers this season I wanted to know about some of the tires that are specially built and designed for the event. Nitto tire expects great results at this year’s Ultra4 sanctioned King of the Hammers race. The tires are called Trail Grappler® Race Tires and six sponsored race teams are using them.
Björgvin goes wheeling mostly in Iceland highlands during the winter time and also in the summer time. Nissan Patrol 2001 44 inch tires all available radio and communication equipment. Differential locks on both back and front wheels.
I'm just admiring your 4x4 vehicles and what you do in Iceland. Here in Aus we tend to worry more about mud and dust - more dust than mud lately.
I'm impressed with the size of tyres you can use. I'm about to raise my Patrol and currently run 33-inch tyres. I'd like to go to 35s but we're very mindful of the lack of power of the Patrol 4.2 TDi.
Out of factory we only get approx 80HP at the rear wheels. I've got some mods made which I now get 110HP. A little better performance which was needed when I went to the 33-inch tyres.
What engine mods do you guys do to be able to drive those 44-inch tyres and all the stuff you carry at the back.
Yes I'm very jealous. I'd love the 44-inch solution but I wont be able to fit on our crappy road systems in Australia.
