Chevrolet's origins can be traced to trucks first made in 1947. It was only later that 4 wheel drive was introduced in a Chevy. Popular models for offroading include the Suburban, Tahoe and the line of trucks including Colorado and Silverado. Not to mention the classics like the Blazer and the C/K pickups.
Chevy Hybrid Pickup Truck - While most off-road trucking enthusiasts might view a 4x4 truck that is both a powerful off-road truck and a fuel efficient hybrid vehicle as a bit of a contradiction in terms, Chevrolet has managed to pull off the feat fairly convincingly with the Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid.

1990 Chevrolet Suburban 46" Todd takes his cool Suburban to the Cascade mountain range in southern Washington State. He does almost all of his wheeling trips in the winter so snow is all this truck really sees. In fact it has developed over the years into quite a capable mountain rig.
1985 Chevrolet K5 Blazer - Steven goes wheeling on his Blazer to Hogg Mountain, Fox Creek (Tallapoosa River), and LOTS of dirt roads. They mostly ride dirt roads but sometimes they Dig in the mud.
1986 Chevrolet K5 Blazer - Victor is a student and LOVES 4x4s. He takes his K5 Blazer offroading in VA. The terrain varies but it's mostly just hills, ruts, holes, and mud...the worst being Virginia clay.
2009 Chevy Suburban Z71 - Robert likes to be able to go anywhere he wants. He takes his Suburban Z1 wheeling to the dirt in the Southern Nevada desert.
1991 3/4 ton Chevy Suburban 4x4 does great on the highway and has been from Illinois to Florida and back a couple of times, one time hauling a 6,000lb trailer and gets no less than 1000 miles a month. But when it hits the dirt it is an entirely different creature. Very Capable to say the least! The only problem is that it is not allowed in the off road parks around here because of the long wheelbase.

49 Inch Modified Patrol/Chevy - Part I Time has come to take away manufacturing faults of this otherwise fine automobile. Common 44 inch modification was not quite up to par. Engine and driveline (mostly front wheel bearings) proved too small and too weak.
1987 Chevy Silverado V-10 - Billy's back yard is in Dunbarton, NH we he got bored one day and had no place to go wheelin' so they made a place. He got his stock Chevy Silverado out of a junkyard, then found a junk truck for $150 with a six inch lift and put it in his truck and took the tires off of the other truck.
1995 Chevy K1500 - Benjamin takes his K1500 wheeling all over the northern NY area. The terrain varies from rocky to very muddy. He is not afraid to put the Chevy in tight spots (and muddy).
1994 Chevy 1500 P/U 4X4 - Juan is working on his Chevy Pickup. Now he is customizing the entire suspension from IFS to a straight axle, 1/2 ton to 1 ton. It seems to be nicely completed. Great work!
1994 Chevy Cheyenne - April Cox is a musher. Most people don't think of them when they think of 4x4 and off-roading. You would be surprised at some of the mud and snow they drive through to get to trails for training and racing. If she didn't have her 4x4 - well she may as well just stay home!
Chevy Blazer 1978 - Chris has just bought this Blazer. Came this way. He plans on doing lots more. He goes wheeling in Cortez, Co. Swamps, big climbing.

1986 Chevy K-5 Blazer Here is a picture of my slightly modified 1986 Chevy K-5 Blazer. It has a early model 350 engine with 4 bolt mains, double hump heads with headers attached.
1976 Chevy Blazer 4x4 - Greg just got this Blazer from his gunnery sergeant (USMC) 3 months ago. He traded him his 95 Firebird. To protect his Blazer from all the trees Greg runs over he painted the sides and back with a military grade rinoliner that's tough as rock.
