Budapest to Bamako "The Great African Run"

I am looking into entering this event in 2014.
Has anyone entered before?
Has anyone shipped a vehicle from the USA to Europe before, and could give some helpful advice?
I have been monitoring the events in Mali, They may have tochange the route by then?

My brother and I are also entering the 2014 race. We decided that it will require too much planning to do 2013. We have decided to buy our car in Europe, his wife is working in England, and go from there. So far I don't have much information but I will share whatever I get with you. I have a lot of time to do research so that is how I will be spending the next year. By the way, I am in Utah and my brother is in florida.
