By far the most reliable 4x4 ever built, not poorly built like a Land Rover or Jeep, mine has 342k on the clock and on the original head, axles are 4 to 5 times as strong as Jeep Rubicons, and to make it better they came from the factory with front and rear e-lockers

Reliability

Hi Dan,
I have a Landcruiser 1992 model (diesel)
I have been traveling through South Africa and some of its neighbouring countries and I have been driving through some bad terrain and my vehicle has done 229000 miles and never had problems until recently (blown the turbo) Had it overalled and installed it again changed the oil and serviced the car and all ok. On another occasion travelled to Lesotho and the radiator also started leaking (the top cover developed small cracks over some time and eventually started leaking) Drove like this back to Johannesburg approx. 400km. and had the radiator fixed. I think Toyota is a good product. I previously had a Landover Defender 110 and had so many problems i.e.: blown an engine and had transfer box problems and the vehicle was almost more in the garage than driving it.
